6 month anniversary :)

Today, my blog exists exactly 6 months. YAY! :D

In these last couple of months, I've done many articles on Michelle Pfeiffer and everything around her. I'll definitely continue this, only I'll be making some small changes:

1. Maybe you've noticed I've put some pages on my blog (bio, aweards). I'll continue to expand this with more. When people visit my blog, I want them to find a world of MP. My ultimate goal is to build a Pfeiffer-website, somewhere in the future.

2. From now one, every month I'll have a 'guest-post'. This means I'll be posting about something not-Michelle (only once a month, don't worry :p). It can be about a certain movie, actor/actress, observation, basically anything I feel like posting. Occasionally I'll make references and comparisons to Michelle, but my goal is to broaden my writing experience and I think writing about different matters will do so.
3. Thirdly, I'll permenantly post once a week. I think you've noticed my posting frequency has changed a bit. At the beginning I posted almost every day. Of course, this was due to excitement and quantity of ideas, but this period was also during fifth grade. I'm now in my senior year and it takes a lot more time and energy. That's why I haven't posted in a while. But I'll make an effort and try posting every week.

So, besides these minor changes, evrything will remain the same. On to the next six months! XD

Michelle and David; happy anniversary!

Saturday, November 13, 2010

Once upon a time two people were set up on a blind date. It somehow turned into a group event and they ended up barely talking to each other. But they saw something in each other and decided to go on a one-on-one date. They went to see 'Dracula' and started to fall in love.
But she had a little secret. Two weeks earlier she had entered proceedings to adopt a baby girl, before ever meeting him. Not to worry though; she knew this wasn't just a fling. She knew this man was for real. So one day, lying in bed together, she drops it on him. He took it well and they decided that this was it. They would start a family together.

The last preperations were made and on march 1993, their first child arrived. The invitation read: November 13th: christening of Claudia Rose Kelley. But then followed an unexpected surprise. They called everyone up a day before telling them that it was besides a christening, also a wedding. "Come if you can", they said. The people who did, witnessed the exchanged vows between Michelle Marie Pfeiffer and David Edward Kelley.
It's been exactly 17 years since this day. 17 years since they promised each other forever and said "I do".

Congrats to Michelle and David! May your marital success last forever..

New Pfilm...

Tuesday, November 9, 2010

I assume everyone has heard the news; a possible new Pfilm! Can you even imagine anything more exciting?! So today, I logged into Facebook and arrive on my homepage. Then I see that Biancs has posted something about a new Pfilm and others have commented in full exhiliration. My heart skips a beat, I can't stop smiling and the only thing on my mind is "Finally!" So then, in full ecstasy, I open the link and... my ear-to-ear grin half-fades. Here's why:

3 words: Ashton frigging Kutcher. Remember 'Personal effects'? The worst Pfilm in Pfeiffer-history was made because of him. Do we really want our Michelle alongside that talentless dude again? One time was waaaay more than enough.

The rest of the cast is OK. Hilary Swank is a pretty decent actress (LOL, Els :p). I'd love to see Michelle work with Robert Deniro. I know they were both in 'Stardust', but they never actually appeared together. I also like the idea of Abigail Breslin in a scene with MP. Lea Michele, though, I don't like. For one, I can't stand Glee. The second reason, though very insignificant, is her name. I just hate the name Michelle spelled like Michele LOL.

My other objection with relevence to the cast is the fact that it's an ensemble cast. This means, like 'Stardust' and 'Hairspray', less on-screen time for Michelle. I just really want a Pfilm that people refer to as a "Michelle Pfeiffer movie".

Elsa brought up an important issue while we were chatting though; Michelle is probably not capable of carrying out a movie on her own. As dedicated Pfans are, the world of cinema has basically forgotten about Michelle Pfeiffer. So, with that said, I hope that this movie will at least put her back in the game for bigger movies in the future.

Even though 'Valentine's day' was a big success, I absolutely hated it. I was so excited when I heard that a Garry Marshall movie would hit the cinemas. So I went and couldn't believe my eyes. A complete waste of time, money and effort. And now Michelle's going to be in a sequel? Sounds like a recipe for disaster. As much as I want to see her again, I keep wondering if this is the way to go.

'Frankie and Johnny' is my favorite movie of all time. It's kind of ironic that I'm not jumping up and down for a chance at the Pfeiffer/Marshall team again. If it were a different kind of movie, I probably would be jumping. But for all the reasons I mentioned above, it simply won't do. Besides, what other great movie has Marshall directed after 'F&J'? 'Raising Helen'? 'The other sister'? I'm sorry, but all those movies sucked. But who know; maybe he just needs the inspiration he found in Michelle. If they can recreate the magic from 'F&J', then I'm in!

Nothing's official yet, so all we can do is hope she'll make the right decision. But like Elsa and I decided: If Michelle wants to do this movie, she should. Her happiness is far more important than our own opinion or some big box office success!

The one thing I really needed...

This is just too unbelievable! Today my computer gets fixed, I log onto Blogger, then I want to start my post called "miss you Michelle", which is completely about how I just want to see her face again, even if it's just a picture. So I'm on the edge of clicking 'new post', then I glance over my blog list and see on Bea and Bianca's page: a brand new Pfeiffer pic. I seriously almost started crying! I mean, for other people a recent pic of their idol may not be anything special; for us it's what we've been waiting for a loooooong time. I just love the pics, she looks so good. Wow, am I being a little overdramatic here? This just really brightens my day :)
